User Event 2024

The Nano Imaging Lab user event took place on the morning of April 23rd. In short presentations, six researchers described their research approaches and how they are supported by the Nano Imaging Lab (NI Lab) team. The range of research topics reflected the wealth of tasks that the NI Lab deals with on a daily basis.

The researchers demonstrated their collaboration with the NI Lab in imaging and analyzing tiny nanowires. They explained their research on the coherence time of electrons in quantum dots and the coating of titanium dioxide nanoparticles, which are to be used as catalysts for the fixation of carbon dioxide. The NI Lab also provided support in investigating the magnetic properties of a bacterium and in researching bacteria that shoot at each other with "harpoons" or that colonize the oral cavity as microfilms and can lead to numerous diseases.

Many thanks to all speakers and participants for the exciting morning, which included great electron microscope images and analyses that made the nano world "visible."
