The color 3D laser scanning microscope determines surface data by scanning the surface with a laser point by point with extreme depth of focus and high precision. The sample does not need to be preprocessed and measurements are taken without contact being made. The combination of laser light and white light not only enables three-dimensional measurements at a high resolution, but also records the color of the surface. In addition to imaging the sample’s surface, this technology can be used to analyze its profile, volume, and roughness and to determine the thickness of a transparent object.
