First KidsCamp at the University of Basel

This summer, the University of Basel offered its first UniKidsCamp for the children of its employees and students. The eight- to twelve-year-olds spent the first week of their vacation gaining insights into natural sciences and technology. The SNI was also involved in the program, which left plenty of room for play and fun as well as experiments. Under the guidance of Michèle Wegmann and some helpers, the girls and boys learned that sunlight is made up of different colors and that these rainbow colors can be made visible with a hand-made spectrometer.
